Greenboro Library Display

Art in the Neighbourhood has been invited to create rotating artist displays at the Greenboro Library.

Each month, one to three artists will have the opportunity to exhibit their work on the library’s feature walls.

Review the layout below to see the available wall spaces, then us the sign-up form to reserve your month.

Details:

  • up to 3 artists featured per month

  • 4 original paintings per artist (no heavy pieces, please)

  • Display period: 1 month

  • Drop-off: 3 days before the start of your month. All 3 artists must coordinate drop off to be on the same day to make the hanging as smooth as possible.

  • Have art in easy to manage protective sleeves to prevent damage. The hanging will be done by City Facilities staff.

  • Pickup occurs 2 days before the end of the month.​

What to include with your display:

  • A bio card (use the template provided below) to be printed on 8.5” x 11” card stock

  • Included thumbnails, title, medium, and size for each painting. (Price is not allowed)

  • A QR code linking to your page on the Art in the Neighbourhood website so visitors can view details and prices.

  • Use the link to below for the QR code that take the viewer to your images on Art in the Neighbourhood website. 

Before you show:

  • Choose your preferred display space and month using the form below.

  • Make sure all the pieces you plan to show at the Library are also posted on your Gallery Room/Shop.

  • The City of Ottawa Display Application must be completed and approved. Use the link below. Please note, log-in to your City of Ottawa Library account on your browser, then come back here to access the Application link.

  • Sample images of your artwork must be sent to library staff Elle Loso (Public Service Assistant ) in the month before your scheduled display. Use the link below.

Do you wish to be put on a wait list for any months that become available? You will be contact ASAP if a month frees up.

TERMS & CONDITIONS:

By submitting this form, you agree to the following:

  • You are a current Art in the Neighbourhood member in good standing.

  • You agree to abide by the Greenboro Library display guidelines and the City of Ottawa Display Program requirements.

  • You will coordinate and deliver your artwork 3 days before the start of your assigned month and pick it up 2 days before the end of your month.

  • You understand that all three participating artists must coordinate drop-off on the same day to allow smooth installation by City staff.

  • Artwork must be ready to hang, lightweight, and protected for safe handling.

  • You are responsible for providing accurate information for your bio, artwork details, and QR code on the template provided

  • Art in the Neighbourhood and the Greenboro Library are not responsible for loss or damage during the display period.
