Johanne Blain

In retirement, Johanne decided to pursue new goals: photography and oil painting. Her photographic work often reflects her travels and keen observation of place, light, and detail. She is a member of the Outaouais Polarisé Photography Club, where she holds the title of “Master Emeritus,” and she participates in numerous competitions to further develop her art.

Alongside her photographic practice, Johanne has taken many oil painting courses with several local artists, as well as with John Stuart Pryce of Toronto. Working in both photography and oil, she continues to explore technique, observation, and personal expression through ongoing learning and creative practice.
