Lindsay Firth

Lindsay Firth is an Ottawa-based painter inspired by nature, wildlife, and richly coloured environments. Working in pastel, watercolour, and acrylics, she is drawn to vibrant colour, subtle shifts of light, and the quiet presence of living forms. Her paintings often focus on birds, landscapes, and natural details, rendered with careful attention and a sense of calm observation.

Travel has played an important role in shaping her visual language, particularly time spent in Costa Rica, Italy, and Greece, alongside the familiar landscapes of Ontario. Introduced to painting after retiring from a teaching career, Lindsay credits her two talented sisters for encouraging her artistic path. She continues to find deep satisfaction in the slow, unfolding process of painting and the joy of watching colour and form come to life.
