Sara Chivot

Originally from Northern Ontario, Sara is inspired by the incredibly diverse surfaces of water, land and sky. Her abstract landscapes depict nature's constantly changing light and reflections.

 

She uses a variety of materials to create painting rich in colour and texture. The balance of layering and removing paint in her artwork gets beneath the surface and creates depth and luminosity.

Her process is intuitive and responsive, allowing each piece to evolve through gesture, erosion, and discovery.
