Pattie Hendry Klus

Pattie Hendry Klus is a retired palliative care nurse. Her extensive experience with caring for patients (who represented all of society) is reflected in her writing.

She has a collection of published essays and poems, and her first published book is The Adventures of Auntie Pasta. The lead character, Auntie Pasta, visits Noodletown once a year. The characters , who are pasta children, have an adventure with her, which plays out a moral to the story.

Pattie also enjoys painting original watercolour art cards and bookmarks, and producing photo cards. She came to painting in her 60's, which proves it’s never too late to learn new things.

Auntie Pasta visits Noodletown once a year to spend time with her nine year old nephew, Durum. She has known Durum’s friends for many years and has watched them grow. On this visit, something happens that makes Durum and his pasta friends realize that they should listen to the advice of caring adults, who just want them to be safe. Read and see what happens.
