Cynthia O'Brien

Ottawa clay artist Cynthia O'Brien holds a BFA from NSCAD and has maintained her practice for over 30 years.

Over the years, she has taught at many local community centres as well as at Perley Health. Her work is hand-built using grog-rich brown clays and porcelain. Colour is minimal; humour and thoughtful observation are the focus.

I try to work through my thoughts and emotions in this medium of clay I love so much.

Clay is my oldest friend and we just get each other.
