Istvan Jobst
Paintings that grow from time spent walking, observing, and responding quietly to nature.
Istvan draws inspiration from nature—particularly landscapes and florals—using photography as a way to explore his emotional response before returning to the studio.
His preferred media are currently acrylics and watercolour/gouache.
When not painting or rambling with his camera, Istvan enjoys learning about art, art history and biographies of famous painters. His favourites are the impressionists and expressionists from the 19th century.
