Doug Cosbie
Doug Cosbie, an alumnus of the Vancouver School of Art (now the Emily Carr University of Art and Design) apprenticed in the art studios of artists Sam Black, Jack Shadbolt and the iconic Canadian advertising agency, MacLaren.
He has been exhibiting for over 40 years and is represented by galleries in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. His artwork is in public and private collections world-wide.
Creativity when making art is not interpreting exactly as you see it. Interesting paintings happen with appealing contrasts and things are moved or out of place.
