Barbara Szatañski

BaSzia’s art card practice emerged through her exploration of multiple mediums, styles, and processes. As a self-imposed challenge, she created 50 small works over four months, discovering that working at an intimate scale was both deeply satisfying and creatively freeing.

The discipline of small-format work became an essential part of her long-term practice, encouraging focus, experimentation, and playful exploration. She continues to work in this format, using art cards as a space to test ideas, techniques, and materials while celebrating the beauty of small, complete works.
