This piece, called Midnight Garden, is an embroidered cyanotype.  A cyanotype is an old photographic process where objects are exposed to light either on fabric or paper. The exposure creates images on a bright blue background.  I used a variety of flowers from my garden to create the cyanotype then added embroidery to it. The piece is 8”x10” and is in an 11”x14” frame ( 27.9x35.5  cm) with matting.
